HOT HOT HEAT VIDEO CLIP

Howdy Folks,

I hope every one is doing epic out there!

Hot Hot Heat Video Clip

At the end of 2019 I did a tour through the UK and the Middle East, what a blast!

While playing The Rhythm Riot in England, I hooked up with long time visual collaborator and bro Chris McGee from Bopflix to film a new Video to accompany our latest 7” vinyl release “Hot Hot Heat”.

Grab it here.

The brief was to create a minimalist black and white clip, with an almost theatrical silent film feel with some modern effects and elements added to accentuate certain lyric’s and guitar riffs.

During the shooting, editing and then potential release date, the global pandemic happened, the world stopped and we decided to put the clip on ice. With the world slowly getting back on its feet we wanted to send some positive vibes out into the world, so here you have it friends, click the link below to watch “Hot Hot Heat”.

Capocci’s Monthly Megamix-

Thanks so much for all the positive feedback about the playlists I’ve been creating, I’m glad you’re getting as much enjoyment listening to them as I am putting them together!

This months is a ripper, Archie Bell and The Drells, Django, James Hunter and Biller And Wakefield, Biller is one of my all time favourite players, and the original inspiration for putting a Lollar Charlie Christian Pickup in my telecaster, I’ll included the clip of him playing that set up, so good!

Books

Do you guys read books?.... I do, I love them!!!

It’s usually the first thing I do, I get up at 4.45am every day, take our Jack Russel Alfie out to do his business then sit and read for 30-45 minutes, then practice guitar, stretch, train, surf and then work!

I thought it could be cool to include a few current reads or suggestions that I’ve found super interesting and helpful, I cover a lot of ground with different genres so I’ll make it straight ahead

-Silence, by Erling Kagge, perfect if your looking for inner silence in this busy digital world, a great gateway book into the world of philosophical thought and self reflection.

-Exile and the Kingdom, by Albert Camus, if your are new to Camus’s work this is a nice place to start with a small collection of his short stories.

-Barbarian Days, by William Finnegan, one of the best surf/life stories that everyone can find a relation to there own story in his travels, well written and super inspiring.

Cancelled gigs and travel restrictions

Unfortunately there’s been new travel restrictions put in place for those of us that live in the Greater Sydney area of NSW, I’m based in Manly on the Northern Beaches, yet the rules and restrictions in regards to travel locally or interstate still apply to us.
